I know the campaign is over, but a doubtful person wanted more information on the donated hockey equipment. I also promised more details if I got them. I will not be doing a write-up in the paper for various reasons. First of all, it would be in bad taste. Secondly, there's reporting a story and then there's beating a dead horse. It's also not very nice to kick a guy when he's already down. Since this forum is less visible than the Chapleau Express, I figured you would all permit me to feature an update as I had originally promised.
Here is a pair of "vintage" skates from the Dr. Pellow collection.
I have come to the conclusion that Dr. Pellow is completely dillusional! I wonder if he would allow his grandchildren to where these skates! Oh and on another note....
ReplyDeleteI just read the newspaper...Dr. Pellow strikes again!
His equipment was from the 70s, his ideas were from the 70s. Had he had become mayor, we probably would have been looking at a brand new Drive-In theater and setting up Roller-Derby leagues in town.
ReplyDeleteI read Dr. Bill's letter in this weekend's paper. I'll admit that I don't get his message. Is he being sarcastic and telling us that we are in for a long cold winter with the newly elected council, is he telling us that he's licking his wounds and will now turn his attention to other priorities or is he telling us that he will be sticking around Chapleau to make life miserable for people? Thoughts anyone?
ReplyDeleteYa I don't really get his message in the paper. I think it means thanks to the people that supported him and bleep bleep the rest. Not too sure on that one. It is just like the rest of his articles and posts on his former site, just a lot of words for nothing. I wonder if it means that he will be staying here and is preparing to be cold? Who knows. I dont think that even he knows.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if his spark in his followers will get them out volunteering(sp). At least the majority of Chapleau let him know that we are not swayed by fast talk and promises. I think he got that message clear.
I was equally puzzled by his statements in the paper. Why not just say thanks and leave it at that? He speaks of his scribbled notes and plans that the council may find. What does this mean? A message that will self-destruct?
ReplyDeleteThe last sentence is equally perplexing. I get the grass-cutting and wood-piling part. The cool winter part may mean just that (maybe he's been reading his almanac). Or maybe it's somekind of premonition. Dr. Pellow seems to be getting more mysterious all the time.
Let's hope it's not a coded message for his minions to mobilize!
