Unfortunately, my attempt to reduce the clutter on my site has failed. Live and learn.
Anonymous postings are once again enabled. Traffic has remained strong, but there have been no comments since the change was made. Hopefully, this will rectify the situation.
After all, what's a site like this without the input from all of you, the readers.
Thanks again for all those who take the time to read and support this site.
Keep the comments coming, they are always welcome.
As we have recently seen in Chapleau, people will always take advantage of certain situations. Bottom line is one’s integrity. If one uses anonymity to better this world, that’s great, but if it’s used to personally attack other posters…shame on you! Not sure how blogs work, but Mr. X is the moderator and if he has the ability to edit or delete posts if deemed necessary, prior to posting, he should do it. It has to do with common sense and not freedom of speech. People do have to get things off their chests!
ReplyDeleteThat's something, as moderator, that is always in the back of my mind. Clearly, there are (and have been) some post that add nothing to the current subject or debate. While the occasional wisecrack can be refreshing, some of the comments border on personal attacks. I'll keep that in mind in the future and try to keep this space as organized as possible.
